Week 6 locks:

Game 1: Bowling Green Falcons vs Notre Dame Fighting Irish(-43.5) O/U 63

Date: Saturday, October 5th-3:30 ET

Network: NBC

Weather: Cloudy, 64 Degrees with 10 MPH winds

Pick: Under 63

Rationale:

Not a ton will go into this one, The Irish have USC next week and Michigan the week after. Knowing this, the massive spread and Bowling Greens pathetic offense I think the number goes under. Expect Ian Book to play for maybe a quarter of this game. Take the under in South Bend.

Game 2: Northwestern Wildcats vs Nebraska Cornhuskers(-7.5) O/U 49

Date: Saturday, October 5th-3:00 ET

Network: FOX

Weather: Clear, 67 Degrees with 14 MPH winds

Pick: Under 49

Rationale:

Going with another under here. Lets face it, Adrian Martiniez has been a let down this year. The Sophomore QB has completed less than 60% of his passes, has thrown 5 INT and ranks 73rd in QBR(ESPN). Nebraska ranks 47th in total offense while Northwestern ranks 126th. While their offense has been a work in progress, to pin it lightly, the Wildcats defense has shown signs of life this year-ranking 31st in total defense. Look for this to be a close, hard fought battle. The wind, slow moving offenses and scrappy defenses will keep this under 49.
